Description

This Limited-Edition varstool features a real life authentic photograph – not AI – of an Air Force Heritage Flight with a P-51D “Mustang”built by North American Aviation Company and an F-16 “Fighting Falcon” (although officially named “Fighting Falcon”, the aircraft is commonly known by the nickname “Viper” among its crews and pilots) and was manufactured by Lockheed Martin Aircraft Company. The P-51 was manufactured starting in 1940 as an order from Great Britain for the British Royal Air Force and is regarded as one of the best American fighters of World War II, serving as a long-range escort in both the European and Pacific theaters. The F-16 was originally developed by General Dynamics in the 1970s and the program was sold to Lockheed Corporation (now Lockheed Martin) in 1993. Since its introduction in 1978, the F-16 became a mainstay of the U.S. Air Force’s tactical airpower. In addition to active duty in the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard units, the aircraft is also used by the US Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team, the US Air Combat Command F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, and as an adversary/aggressor aircraft by the US NAVY. Since 1982, the F-16 has been a platform for US nuclear weapons in Europe. Numerous original versions of F-16 also remain in service with many operators throughout the world.

The Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was formed on December 6, 2010 with the primary charitable mission of providing Heritage Flights to the public. These performances (2026) feature modern fighter and attack aircraft flying alongside World War II, Korea and Vietnam-era planes in a dramatic display of our nation’s air power history. These formations serve as a living memorial to the men and women who have served – or are currently serving – in the U.S. Air Force, and are proudly flown in support of Air Force recruiting and retention efforts.
