Description

This Limited-Edition barstool features an authentic real life photo -not AI generated of a Douglas Aircraft Company C-49 aircraft, and is one of the oldest DC-3 variant airframes flying today. In January 1941, WildKat was on the assembly line at the Douglas Aircraft Company plant in Santa Monica, California. Destined for Eastern Airlines, the United States Army Air Corps (USAAC) stepped in and drafted the aircraft into military service on January 24, 1941.   “Wild Kat” (or “Wild-Kat”) is a famous vintage Douglas C-49 (a military variant of the DC-3) owned and operated by the WWII Airborne Demonstration Team (ADT) located in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, a group preserving WWII history by flying jump schools and appearing at airshows (2026). This C-49 is  known for its distinctive livery and extensive history as a vital transport during the war, flying alongside another aircraft, an ADT C-47 named “Boogie Baby”.
